As you know, Steve, this matter was brought to my attention by
your recent addition to my department, Katherine Cunningham,
who of course continues to exhibit an almost preternatural
attention to detail and an ambitious initiative.  Were it not for her
quite prompt report of the incident in my office on Friday night, I
might never even have known it had occurred.  Thankfully, I do
not believe that Beth McConnell stumbled across anything of
significance during her brief foray.

It is not my belief that she poses an ongoing threat to any
internal operations.  However, I plan to monitor her future
activities and may utilize the access you granted me to the
Gorgon Network in order to keep close tabs on her.

As you approved, I have formally reprimanded Elizabeth
McConnell for her actions on October 10, 2003.  I also
recommended that she consider taking a sabbatical in the near
future to reflect on her recent performance.  Further
admonishment does not seem warranted at this time.  I will keep
you apprized if circumstances change.

It was good to see you again at Kathy's birthday party.  I hope
you found a solution to your little problem.
